Regardless of whether you’re on a solo trip, with your partner or with family, these nearby places give you some peace, natural beauty and some excitement as well. If you’re looking for a last-minute break, check out these top 7 places that aren’t too far from you!

Hills, Nandi hills!

1. [Place 1] Nature Escape – [Example] Nandi Hills (Bangalore)]

Whether you enjoy nature or simply want clean air, this place will meet your expectations. Because of its misty mornings, winding routes and stunning views, Nandi Hills is perfect for early drives.

What you need to start:

If you can, get up early and watch the sunrise from the highest point.

Taste chai as you look at the city.

Explore Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace by walking around it.

The reasons it’s perfect: It’s quite nearby, peaceful (just not during weekends) and is pleasant for hill station to
urists who don’t like rides that take too long.

Fort! Hills!!

2. Neemrana Fort brings the energy of heritage to Delhi NCR (Example 2).

Neemrana Fort makes you feel like you’ve traveled back in time. The special attractions of the old walls, royal courtyards and lovely terraces enhance what to do in the city on a weekend.

The steps for addressing this issue are clearer now.

Select one of the heritages hotels when visiting.

Check out how the fort was built.

Soak up the sun while you swim outdoors.

We chose this place for a friend’s birthday once and the dinner under the twinkling lights was very romantic.

Lake!

3. [Place 3: Soaking in the Scenery – Example: Pawna Lake (Pune)]

Tenting by a lake and looking up to the stars? Yes, please! Pawna Lake is ideal for people who want some peace, a few adventures and amazingly pretty sunsets.

How to live:

Try to find a camping spot by a lake.

Experience the water by kayaking or paddle boating.

Have fun at a bonfire event.

Carry some snacks and a power bank with you when you travel. Mobile network is not reliable in this region.

Park!!!

4. [Place Series Part 4: Animal Activities – Bannerghatta National Park (Bangalore)]

If you have kids, you’ll enjoy this place for a great family visit. It’s a great spot to learn, have fun and always just a short walk from the city.

How to get involved:

Spot tigers, lions and elephants by going on a safari

You can visit the butterfly park.

Have lunch or a snack in the protected area of the park.

Here’s why this works: It doesn’t cost much, kids love it and the trip can be wrapped up in a day.

Shirdi mumbai!

5. The fifth item listed is a Spiritual Retreat example: Shirdi (Mumbai).

A gentle retreat can be healing for our spiritual side at times. Shirdi helps people from all backgrounds feel calm and settled.

Recommendations for what to do:

Go to the Sai Baba temple.

Be part of the religious ceremony (aarti)

Enjoy some local prasad (food offering)

If you don’t want big crowds, stay away from Thursday and weekend visits.

Tips for Travels During Lockdown

Please check in advance: Rules in each place are not permanent and can change without notice.

Don’t forget necessary items; keep a mask, sanitizer, water bottle and a quick snack ready.

Go to places outdoors: They are both safer and more rejuvenating.

Get your drive in before rush hour and experience fewer cars and less noise.
